The 2012 conference is a two day conferece designed to meet the practical and spiritual needs of men.

Course Description

"Why Men Hate Church"
“What is it about modern Christianity that is driving men away?” Just 35% of American men say they attend church weekly, and women make up more than 60% of the typical congregation on a given Sunday. Most churches cater to women, children and the elderly by creating a safe, predictable environment. This alienates anyone fond of risk taking, including young men and women, but men are affected most. In order to reach men, churches must “adjust the thermostat” to: 1) let men lead; 2) give them tasks; 3) encourage pastors to show strength and teach men through object lessons, 4) letting them discover truth for themselves. Learn how men can be men in church!

"Disciplines of a Godly Man"
Personal discipline is an indispensable key to accomplishing anything in life. We can never get anywhere without it. Christian men are called to be disciplined (trained ) in godliness, (1 Tim. 4:7 ). This class will identify and address five key areas in which Christian men are biblically challenged to mature and excel in order to please God and change the world.

"Streetwise"
This course addresses the challenges of street life. Creative methods to encourage young men to come out of the streets and into the House will be discussed. Are you street wise?

Marriage is sacred, because it replicates Jesus Christ’s love and relationship with His Church. The idea of marriage is under serious attack today and Christians have almost the same divorce rate as people in the world. Come and learn about some valuable tools to save and enhance your marriage so that it is pleasing to God.

"The Power & Purpose of A Man"
The male is in crisis. Traditional roles once gave men stability and continuity from generation to generation. Today, the world is sending out conflicting signals about what it means to be a man. Many men are questioning who they are and what roles they fulfill in life; as men, fathers, and husbands. This uncertainty is disrupting their personal and professional lives, leaving them frustrated and causing them to live far below their potential. It is creating cracks in the foundation of society. Come and learn about cultural attitudes toward men and discuss the purpose God has given men. Discover the destiny and potential of the man as he was meant to be.

"Fatherhood ( Daddy’s Home )"
FACT: Four out of ten American children will go to bed tonight in a home without their fathers (Blankenhorn, David, Fatherless America, 1995 ). FACT: About 90 percent of single-parent homes are without a father. ( U.S. Bureau of the Census, “Poverty in the U.S.: 1992” ) FACT: Seventy percent of long-term prison inmates come from homes where the father wasn’t present. ( “Family Values Gain Control,” The Wall Street Journal, December 12, 1995, p. A6 ) Come and learn how to 1) affirm Christ’s Lordship over your family 2) be the loving leader and head of your family 3) love your wife all your life 4) turn your heart toward your children 5) educate your children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord 6) protecting your family 7) provide for your family; and 8) build your marriage, and family on the “Rock”.
